Just a reminder about the picnic Sunday afternoon. We hope that many of you can come, whether you have signed up or not. We'll provide the burgers and buns, if you could bring chips or some other appropriate and easy side.
We will center activities out of the south pavilion of Myakka State Park, which we have reserved for the day. When you enter the park from SR-72, this pavilion will be on the right just after you enter the park. The park is located 9 miles E of I-75 at 13208 State Road 72. There is a $6/vehicle admission to the park, so carpooling is encouraged.
The picnic area is covered. So, even if rain is threatened, come. We will stay dry!
Plans are to eat at 500, play a kickball game after that, and then have dessert and a time of singing to end the day. However, please come at any time, and use the pavillion as a place to store your stuff or rest. We highly recommend a visit to the canopy walk. Very cool. Some of you may want to go canoeing with the alligators.
Hope to see you!
