God-centered and historic worship
Worship is one of the most important activities we perform as Christians. It is for worship that God has created us. And since we are his because ‘He first loved us', we at Hope Presbyterian Church want our worship to be an expression of our love directed back towards him. Consequently, there is an audience of one witnessing our worship: God. He is the only one who we should be concerned to please.

Our desire, therefore, is that our worship be God-centered. Our worship will borrow heavily from the wisdom of the past, not to cut ourselves off from the present, but in order to stand on the shoulders of others whose Biblical knowledge and zeal for God exceeds our own.

We want to worship God with a language that is intelligible to contemporary people and yet exalting to God. We hope that those who worship here sense that God is here, that God is honored, and that God is revered.

And we want our worship to be a place where those who are not Christians can come and consider who God is and what he expects of them. Those with questions are welcome. We are not a people who have all the answers.

Worship as families
A distinctive of our worship is that we encourage families to worship together. This is by design, and we encourage it. Both teens and tots are encouraged to sit with their parents. However, not all children are used to this, so if needed, please feel free to take advantage of our loving nursery.
